How to Install Kaspersky Internet Security for Mac

Before you begin
We recommend doing the following before beginning the installation:
  • Verify that your computer satisfies the system requirements for Kaspersky Internet Security for Mac.

  • Check if there are Kaspersky Lab products or incompatible anti-virus software from other vendors installed on your computer.

  • If you have incompatible software from another vendor or other Kaspersky Lab software installed on your computer, uninstall it.

    Note: if removing a previous version of kaspersky you MUST save your current Activation settings during the uninstall process. Otherwise, you will lose the time remaining on your current installation. We cannot be held responsible if you ignore the question during un-installation to SAVE your current Activation settings.

  • Close all running applications.




Step 1 - Installation using a CD Kit or Media Disc:


If you are installing using the CD, please insert your disc into your computer and once the Kaspersky CD Menu appears follow the Installation wizard.

If your computer has the Auto Run disabled you will need to navigate to your My Computer and locate your CD/DVD ROM Drive
and navigate to the folder that contains the autorun file and start the installation file manually.

Note: If you have have not purchased the CD, continue to Step 2 to download the software.





Step 2 - Installation Using Download links

  • Download the software distribution (program) using the clickable link below:

  • Install Kaspersky Internet Security for Mac by running the downloaded file. Follow the on screen wizard.

  • Activate Kaspersky Internet Security for Mac using the activation code. The activation code is located in the email from Microbe Sales.

    If you cannot locate it please emails call us on 09 447 3132 and we can resend the activation code to you.
  • **IMPORTANT Information Regarding Activation**
    Please make sure that if you have any time remaining on your old activation code, that you do not enter your new activation code into Kaspersky until the old one expires, as if its not done correctly you can lose time left on your existing license.

    If Kaspersky is asking you for an activation code and you know you had time left on your old code; simply re-enter the old code into the program. This is to ensure that you do not lose any time.

    Please remember we will not be held accountable for any days lost on current licenses.

    To get your activation codes resent email us on sales@microbe.co.nz and let us know if you need your old or new code emailed to you again.





Step 3: Post-installation recommendations

After installing the application, we recommend doing the following:

  • Update the databases for Kaspersky Internet Security for Mac.
  • Check your computer's security status in the application's main window.
  • Perform a full scan of your computer.

 
Note
If you receive an error message check carefully the code you entered is correct. If the code is correct then check the following. The two most common problems that may cause this error are you either have an old version installed or have the wrong product installed.
